Luisa Hansal
Visual artist
Luisa approaches her paintings as an entryway into inner spaces where a visual language of forms and symbols appear, bringing forth a tender understanding of some deeper meaning she can’t articulate through speech. There is a tension between the tangible and psychic nature of painting that she finds almost magical. Through the act of painting Luisa attempts to refine her visual expression of personal grief, compassion and sentiment. When at a loss for words, aesthetics is one place to seek out clues about ourselves and others. A divine turmoil.
Luisa is the co-founder and co-director of Pig Melon. She is represented by sweet pea gallery.
