In her life, Jade has had a deep love for art and a curiousness for the ethereal. A sense of a world beyond what the eye can see. Dreamland, her debut solo exhibition is a collection of paintings that would explore this idea - Early days of ones existence - made of colour, sound and light. A time before language, a world which is a blur of senses. Innocence in newness, unscathed. Open-hearted and awoken to this earthly plane. This show attempts to bring art to life, experiencing it as though it has a life of its own and is far beyond an inanimate thing.
Jade studied a Dip. in Visual Arts at Melbourne’s RMIT University in 2019, receiving high -distinctions and distinctions across all subjects. Through this experience she took a great liking to painting with oils, sculpture and print. After relocating back to Western Australia in late November of 2019 - she joined Two Six Five Studios in Subiaco, working alongside a diverse group of other Artists, Costume Designers & Film Makers. In August this year she joined Paper Mountain Studios in Northbridge, with whom she has shown work for at Paper Mountain’s Co-op in Enex 100, alongside of her Grandmother who is also a painter. It was this year, that she delved deep in to practice, painting most day and night, creating pieces which have garnered National & International interest and sales. In 2021, Jade will be continuing her work and collaborating with different galleries on the East Coast of Australia and hopes to be able to head over to show the works, as well as having another solo show here in WA.
